Questions before you
choose custom shutters?
Start here. Learn how our custom options, free consultation, quote, and installation process work, then tell us what you want your room to do.
What window treatments do you offer?
We offer custom shutters and roller shades for homes and offices. Shutter options shown on our site include a classic standard tilt and a cleaner hidden-tilt look. Roller shades are available with manual or motorized controls. During your consultation, we'll help you compare the options that fit your room, style, privacy needs, and light-control goals.
How do I choose the right treatment for my room?
Start with what you want the room to do. Consider privacy, how much daylight you want, heat and glare, ease of operation, and the look you want from inside and outside. Bring photos or inspiration to your consultation; we'll help narrow the choices and explain the tradeoffs.
Are your window treatments custom?
Yes. Our window treatments are selected and planned around your windows, your space, and your design preferences. Custom sizing and options create a more intentional fit than an off-the-shelf treatment.
Do you work on homes and offices?
Yes. We help customers choose window treatments for residential and office spaces in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
What is the difference between standard tilt and hidden tilt shutters?
Standard tilt shutters use a visible center tilt rod connected to the louvers. It is the classic, traditional shutter look. Hidden tilt moves the operating mechanism out of sight for a cleaner, more contemporary appearance. Both let you adjust the louvers for light and privacy; the choice is mainly about the look and how you prefer to operate them.
Do you offer motorized shades?
Yes. The roller-shade options shown on our site include both manual and motorized controls. Motorization can be especially useful for tall, wide, or frequently adjusted windows. We'll help you decide where it adds the most value.
Can shutters work on an arched or unusually shaped window?
Some specialty windows can be fitted with a custom shutter solution. Because every opening is different, send us a clear photo or include it with your quote request so we can confirm what will work for that specific window.
Are shutters good for privacy and light control?
Shutters give you flexible control because the louvers can be adjusted without opening the entire panel. You can angle them for daylight, reduce direct glare, or close them for more privacy. The best configuration depends on the window and how the room is used.
How does the free consultation work?
The consultation starts with your windows, priorities, and style. We'll learn what you want to improve, review suitable options, and answer your questions. After the details are clear, we'll provide a quote for your project. The goal is to make the decision and installation process easy and straightforward.
How much do custom shutters or shades cost?
Pricing depends on the product, window size, number of openings, control type, finish, and other custom details. A consultation lets us understand the project and provide a detailed quote instead of a one-size-fits-all estimate.
How long does the process take?
Timing varies with the product, customization, and size of the project. Once your selections and project details are confirmed, we'll explain the expected schedule and keep you informed through installation.
Do you handle installation?
Yes. After the quote and selections are approved, we schedule the installation and check the finished work before the project is complete.
What areas do you serve?
Shutters Pro Designs serves customers across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. If you are unsure whether your address is in the service area, send the city or ZIP code with your quote request. See our full service area.
What should I prepare before contacting you?
Photos are helpful, especially for arched, tall, wide, or grouped windows. If possible, include the room, approximate number of windows, city or ZIP code, and your main goal: privacy, light control, motorization, or a specific design style. Exact measurements are not required for the first conversation.
Can I get a quote before choosing every detail?
Yes. The consultation is designed to help you compare options before you finalize the details. Tell us what matters most and we'll help you narrow the choices and prepare a clear quote.
